Returning Client Quick-Resubmit Feature

  • As a client submits her PRF waiver for their first session, the app needs about five minutes of her time. Her piercer finishes the waiver and sends it to the cloud.
  • For each subsequent session, most or all of the information on her waiver does not change. Using the RETURNING CLIENT feature, new piercings or jewelry can be added to the waiver. A new iteration of the waiver will be placed on the cloud, incorporating any changes made and the latest date.
  • Each Returning Client waiver uploaded to your cloud counts as one form spent, easily tracked on the PURCHASES page.
  • Waivers made by previous versions of PRF (pre-v3.0) cannot be accessed by PRF v3.0+. This is a standard security practice among cloud services, reducing the chance of data breaches by malware between versions. Your pre-PRF v3.0 waivers are stored securely in your cloud and can be accessed there indefinitely. Your clients should have no problem submitting a fresh 'first time' waiver, just this once, as they will be using the Returning Client feature evermore.

Submitting a RETURNING CLIENT waiver

From the Welcome Screen:

1. Tap RETURNING CLIENT.
2. Enter the master or piercer passcode.
3. Search by name or tap the filter icon on the right of the search bar. (Filtering is a PRO subscription feature.)
4. Choose the client's previously submitted waiver from the connected cloud.
5. THE PIERCING: The client is offered the chance to change or update the piercing, body location, and piercer indicated on the previous waiver. They can also add more than one piercing here by tapping ADD ANOTHER PIERCING.
6. Instructions appear, and the waiver loads in the tidy side-scrolling RETURNING CLIENT WAIVER VIEWER.
7. The client previews their waiver, signs, and resubmits or taps the OPTIONS button.
8. The piercer is then prompted for a passcode and takes over the Piercing Notes Pane. More on the Piercer Notes Pane here.

The Returning Client Experience

Sally Blades used PRF for the waiver she submitted when she had her lip pierced. That day, PRF asked for five minutes of her time, a photo of her ID, the whole bit. Her piercer finished the waiver and sent it to the cloud.

Six weeks later, Sally returned for another piercing. She stepped up to the studio iPad, and the front desk clerk tapped RETURNING CLIENT. The clerk entered the required passcode (to ensure Sally was searching for Sally, not her ex) and searched for her.

PRF searched the connected cloud and offered Sally her previous waiver. She selected it, selected a new piercing, signed her name, and PRF prompted her to hand the iPad to the piercer. The piercer made notes, adjusted the jewelry details, and signed and uploaded the new waiver. Too easy.

FAQs: Returning Client Flow

    • Q: What is the Returning Client Flow?

A: The Returning Client Flow is a fast-track process for clients who return for sessions on the same piercing. It significantly reduces the time required for waiver submission, which thrills those clients and makes them love you all the more.

    • Q: How much time does the Returning Client feature save?

A: While the initial waiver submission can take about five minutes, subsequent submissions using the Returning Client Flow can take less than 10 seconds if no changes are needed.

    • Q: Can my clients who used PRF before the update to v.30 find their old waivers?

A: No. That's a security door we welded shut. Waivers made by previous versions of PRF (pre-v3.0) cannot be accessed by PRF v3.0+. This is a standard security practice among cloud services, reducing the chance of data breaches by malware between versions. Your pre-PRF v3.0 waivers are safe in your cloud and can be found there forever. Your clients should have no problem submitting a fresh 'first time' waiver, just this once, as they will be using the Returning Client feature evermore.

    • Q: How does a client submit a Returning Client waiver?

A: The client or staff member accesses the Returning Client flow by:

      1. Tapping "RETURNING CLIENT" on the welcome screen.
      2. Entering the master or piercer passcode.
      3. Searching for the client's name or use search filters.
      4. Selecting the client's previously submitted waiver.
      5. Tapping "GO," reading the provided information, signing, and resubmitting.

    • Q: Can changes be made to a returning client's waiver?

A: Yes! The "OPTIONS" button provides access to:

      • CLIENT OPTIONS: Edit waiver data or start a new waiver.
      • PIERCER OPTIONS: Edit piercer notes.

    • Q: Who should ideally manage the Returning Client process?

A: Based on our experience with PRF in our studio, we recommend that studio staff manage the Returning Client process. The ability to search is pass-coded, which ensures client privacy and prevents clients from 'accidentally' accessing other clients' waivers.

    • Q: When should I not use the Returning Client feature?

A: The Returning Client feature should not be used when a client is getting a new piercing. Because the artwork and piercing placement change, a new waiver is legally required for each new piercing. Resubmitting a previous waiver will not cover the new procedure.
